Customers¶
Hi Nina! This page is your address book of everyone who has an account in the shop.
Every person who registers on the website shows up here: ordinary shoppers and business (B2B) partners alike. From here you can look someone up, see their details, decide whether they are allowed to pay by invoice (Faktura), give partners a few extra perks, and jot down private notes about them.
Good to know
You cannot change a customer's own details here (their name, email, phone, company, or VAT number). Those come from what the customer typed when they signed up. What you can change are three things: the invoice permission, the partner perks, and your private notes.
How to open it¶
- Open the admin website and sign in.
- In the menu on the left, click Customers.
- You will see a table of every customer. Click any name to open that person's page.
What you can do here¶
Find and view a customer¶
- Click Customers in the menu.
- The table lists everyone, showing their name, email, company, type (business or ordinary shopper), the date they joined, and when they last logged in.
- There is no search box. To jump to a name quickly, use your browser's own "find on page" (hold Ctrl and press F, then type the name or email).
- Click the person's name to open their full page.
Download the whole customer list¶
- On the Customers page, click Export CSV in the top-right corner.
- A spreadsheet file downloads to your computer. You can open it in Excel.
Read a customer's details¶
Open a customer to see their Profile panel. It shows their email, phone, company, VAT number, whether they are a business or an ordinary shopper, whether their email is verified, whether they agreed to marketing emails, their language, when they joined, and when they last logged in.
These details are read-only
You are looking, not editing. If a customer's name or email is wrong, they change it themselves from their own account on the shop website. If something looks truly broken, email the developers (address at the bottom).
See what a customer has saved (Wishlist)¶
The Wishlist panel on the customer's page shows the products they have bookmarked to buy later. It is just for your information.
Let a customer pay by invoice (Faktura)¶
This is the important one. See the panel called Payment options on the right of the customer's page.
- Open the customer.
- Find the Payment options panel.
- Tick Allow invoice payment to switch it on. Untick it to switch it off. The change saves on its own.
Two things must both be true before a customer sees Faktura at checkout
Ticking this box on its own is not enough. For the customer to see the "Pay by invoice" choice when they check out:
- Allow invoice payment must be ticked here, and
- their basket total must be above the shop-wide threshold set in Settings → Checkout.
If either one is missing, the customer only sees card payment. So if a partner says "I can't find the invoice option", check both: is the box ticked here, and is their basket big enough?
Give a partner perks¶
The Partner perks panel (on the right of the customer's page) is for business partners. After changing anything here you must click Save perks.
- Free event tokens - use the + and − buttons, or type a number, to give a partner free places at paid events. Zero is the lowest.
- Membership tier - choose a partnership level from the drop-down (or "None"). You create these levels on the Membership tiers page.
- Signup region - the market a customer is tied to for prices and shipping. "None" means the website works it out from where they are.
- Developer - a special testing switch. Leave it off for real customers.
- Click Save perks.
The Developer tick is not for customers
"Developer" lets someone switch between regions on the shop and see things normal shoppers cannot. Only turn it on for a colleague who is testing, never for a real customer.
Add a private note¶
- Open the customer.
- In the Add note box on the right, type your note.
- Click Add note.
Notes are only ever seen by admins. Each note is stamped with the date. Use them for things like "Phoned 26 May, promised a callback."
Check who tried to sign up but failed¶
There is a separate page listing people whose registration did not go through. It is useful for spotting a partner who got stuck and needs a hand.
- Go to the Failed signups page (under Customers).
- The three boxes at the top show the total number of failures, how many in the last 7 days, and how many in the last 24 hours.
- Use the coloured buttons to filter by the type of problem (for example "email already in use").
- Each row shows when it happened, who it was, their company, and the reason. Click Show on a row to see the full details, including any error message, VAT number, and the browser they used.
- If someone's email is listed, you can click it to write to them.
This page is only a record
You cannot fix a failed signup from here. It is a list to help you understand what went wrong. If a partner is stuck, the best help is usually to email them or ask the developers.

Common mistakes¶
Watch out for these
- Ticking "Allow invoice payment" and expecting it to be enough. It is only half the rule. The basket must also be above the threshold in Settings → Checkout.
- Turning on "Developer" for a real customer. This is a testing switch only. It gives them abilities normal shoppers should not have.
- Forgetting to click "Save perks". The payment tick saves by itself, but the Partner perks panel does not. If you change tokens, tier, or region, you must click Save perks or your change is lost.
- Trying to edit a customer's name or email here. You can't. Customers change those themselves on the shop website.
