Newsletter subscribers¶

This is the list of everyone who signed up to receive the newsletter. It is a read-only list: you can look through it to see who is subscribed, where they signed up from, and when. There is nothing to fill in or save on this page.

How to open it¶

Sign in to the admin.
In the menu, click Newsletter subscribers.
The full list appears as a table. The heading shows the total number of records.

What you can do here¶

Read the subscriber list¶

Each row is one person who signed up.
Read across the row to see their email, whether they are still subscribed, where they signed up, their language, and the date they subscribed.

See who is still subscribed¶

Look at the Status column.
A green active tag means they still get the newsletter.
A grey unsubscribed tag means they have opted out and will not receive it.

When the list is empty¶

If nobody has subscribed yet, the table shows No subscribers yet.
This is normal for a brand-new shop; entries appear as people sign up on the website.

Every field explained¶

Column	What it means
Email	The subscriber's email address.
Status	active means they still receive the newsletter; unsubscribed means they opted out.
Source	Where the sign-up came from, for example a form on the website.
Locale	The language the person signed up in.
Subscribed	The date and time they signed up.

Common mistakes¶

This page only shows the list

You cannot add, edit, or remove subscribers here. People are added when they sign up on the website, and removed when they unsubscribe themselves.

Active is not the same as opted in to marketing

This list is about the newsletter only. It is separate from the marketing opt-in on customer accounts used elsewhere. Being on this list means they subscribed to the newsletter.

Sending to this list happens elsewhere

This page does not send anything. To email newsletter subscribers, go to Mass email and tick Newsletter subscribers in the audience choices.
